2. Introduction of Natto

Natto, with its origins in ancient China, is produced by fermenting soybeans with Bacillus subtilis Natto. It has a sticky texture, a pungent odor, and a slightly sweet taste. Natto not only retains the nutritional value of soybeans but is also rich in vitamin K2, enhancing the digestion and absorption rate of proteins. More importantly, the fermentation process yields various physiological active substances that can dissolve fibrin and regulate physiological functions.

3. Acceptable Daily Intake Recommendation:

1) The daily intake of nattokinase should not be below 2,000 FU. For normal or sub-healthy individuals, 2,000 FU per day is recommended to prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Most people experience physical reactions after about 7 days, feeling more energetic and noticing improvements in dry eye symptoms; sensitive individuals may respond the same day.

2) A daily intake of 2,000 FU to 5,000 FU is advised for patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Around 15 days, most individuals exhibit positive responses, such as relief from cold hands and feet, chest tightness, palpitations, limb numbness, dizziness, and insomnia. Blood pressure and lipid levels gradually normalize over 2-3 months. Once indices are normal, the dosage can be reduced to a maintenance level.

3) For patients with severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions, a daily intake of 5,000 FU to 7,000 FU is recommended. Symptoms begin to decrease around January and show significant improvement after 3 months.

4) For those not accustomed to consuming Natto with meals, a higher intake than the Japanese standard is advisable, with a daily nattokinase intake exceeding 5,000 FU, suitable for national prevention, health care, and conditioning. Nattokinase has a half-life of 8 hours, with an active period in the body of 8-12 hours. Dividing the intake morning and evening ensures all-day action, prolonging the stay of active ingredients, enhancing absorption, and improving efficacy.
